The Troubled Teacher

For those in the field of educator, many of us are in the same boat; it is the final countdown to this exhausting school year. With these next few days, our minds are experiencing emotions that only fellow educators can understand.

We are saying good-bye to the tiny family we created.

We are questioning our abilities to educate the youth effectively.

We are weary of the decision we made to sign a contract for another year, after we told ourselves this is it.

We are angry that we did not complete all the activities and state standards.

We are proud that we made it another year.

We are afraid of the growing dangers this country faces.

We are unsure if our salaries will carry us through the high inflation of our economy.

We are resistant.

We are resilient.

We are empowered.

We are loved.

We are needed.

We are educators.
